f-stop Friday - Swallowtail

Although it's still 77 degrees today, Fall is beginning to arrive in Texas and we won't be seeing these much longer. I took this photo in Round Top on October 25th when Mindy and I were down there for a combination trailer maintenance and geocaching trip. Goodbye, Summer!

Wouldn't you just love to catch one emerging from its cocoon? Or have you?

It's hard to believe that picture was taken in the end of October. It looks so summery! My daughter tells me that all the butterflies go to Texas when it gets cold here. Maybe she's on to something.

Oh...butterflies are SO beautiful!!! I love them! I have a bush in front of my house (I'm not responsible for it (black thumb)that they like)and I can sit and watch them for HOURS!!! All of the colors - yum!

I'm glad she was giddy...I had more fun with all of that!!! You should have heard me giggling the WHOLE time!!! LOLOL

;-) Have a great week!!!

These colors are magnificent! what a gorgeous and elegant subject. Butterflies, they make me sad in a way, because they are so lovely but are here for such a short time.

The details I can see in your photo are stunning! It looks like we are leaning in very close and the colors just sing! Blessings!

Wow, those colors just explode!
I'm going to be picking your brain about what sort of camera I need to upgrade to...I want to make the leap from a digital to a SLR. I figure you da man to ask!
