Going Orange in Gruene

Glory Days, originally uploaded by Snakelover61.

The above photo was my entry in a photo contest in which the theme was "Orange." While it didn't win, it received some very nice accolades. The subject is a '55 Chevy parked outside the historic Gruene Mansion. Like the photo in the previous blog, this one was taken on our recent excursion celebrating Mindy's birthday. That sure was a fun trip!

See how big that steering wheel is? I can tell you for a fact: it sure gets in the way when you're making out! Ah, back in the day. His name was Steve.

Thanks for the stroll. Nice picture.

What David didn't mention is that the car was parked in a space reserved for Elvis. I hid behind a bush for hours waiting for the King, but, I never saw him.

Doesn't David have a knack for photography? Love this picture! ~Mindy

Dave,

I came on over from Margo's Junkin' Journal blog after I learned that you had photos in the calendar. I love this photo! I also love the junking photos in your "Antique Photographer" post. Thanks for sharing your talent with us!
