Discovering Beauty

Don't you love discovering beauty? I do too! And the best kind is the God-given beauty that resides in the hearts of those we love. I made such a discovery this weekend.

I knew that Mindy had once been a music therapist and that she had worked with special needs children. But I don't think I fully got my heart around it until I saw this.

Sebastian has Down Syndrome and requires more attention than most babies. Among other things, he has to be fed every 1 1/2 to 2 hours, even through the night. Mindy knew his parents could use a break. So she volunteered to hold him for a while. She sang him to sleep. Mindy would be the first to tell you it's a God thing. Yep! I think it's just beautiful! And so does little Sebastian!

Is it any wonder I love this woman? She's so beautiful to me... inside and out! I'm so proud and I just had to brag on her! Have you discovered beauty in someone you love lately? If so, I'd love to hear about it!

She is beautiful inside and out. We all love her, too! Your photos captured a beautiful moment, David. Discovering beauty in others should be a hobby for all of us.

I just wanted to say that today has been a terrible day for me and I happened to run across your blog and it filled my heart! What a wonderful and beautiful woman! Just think how different this world would be if we all behaved in that way.

Hi David!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and commenting about my Mindy Heater/Landscape piece! Yes, that's it name...wonder why?

Mindy is so beautiful...I've yet to meet her in person but her blog and your words define LOVE in it's purest sense...and that's a once in a lifetime deal....Lucky Mindy and lucky You!

Lovin' the photos...I always say babies and kids know good people...they calm down, laugh more and once in a great while fall asleep in the arms of an angel!

Best wishes to you and Mindy on your journey....looks like God did a great job on letting your paths cross.

I am touched deeply by these photos, love and beauty couldn't be expressed any better then you have captured them with your camera. Mindy, you area God send to the children and you are an extremely beautiful lady. You radiate love and goodness, we need more angels like you here on earth.

God bless both of you. I hope you don't mind if I tag along for the ride here and add you to my followed blogs.

Thank you for sharing the photos of Mindy and Sebastian - they are lovely.
Obviously, you have talent as a photographer. I am wondering if you were lucky in getting the cardinal photo or if you have much more patience than I do. Even when I set up the tripod and have the remote trigger set up I usually get a picture of the bird's tail feathers as he flies away. Need to practice my quick snap.
